Documentation
and document management
Why is documentation so
important within the framework of energy management? And why is it important
that the documentation be kept up to date? Within the framework of the BESS
project, insight into the effort an organization is devoting to energy
management is important. But even more important is the fact that energy
management is simply not possible without proper documentation. This is true
not only on the level of the AP, but also on the work instruction level.

Without a current AP, the
measures that have been agreed to and the targeted reduction are unclear.
Without documented work instructions, problems will occur at the machines if
one of the operators has a day off.
All elements involved in
energy management must be cohesively described and managed. If the energy objectives change, for example,
the AP is modified accordingly. This changes the tasks, necessitating changes
in the project proposal and ultimately in the work instructions. This applies
not only within your own organization, but also to the products and services
supplied by others.
